Dear Dr. Johan De Kleer,

I like your last statement, "Studying feathers and birds, did not get us flight." It is very true. So, do the computer enthusiasts ever learn from this?? I think, we have to device a special method to implement all this. Somewhat, along the same line of thought, I would like to quote, Rudolf Arnheim (Visual Thinking and Perception) "Catching the Albatross while it is still flying."

More later..
Thanks again!
Arun Tripathi

A simple Google search calls into question De Kleer's notion that studying birds did not teach us how to fly. The Creator's handiwork is evident in the design of the universe. (If you don't believe in intelligent design, at least read the links below to see that De Kleer's notion is incorrect.)

http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/Wright/overview.htm

"The Wright Brothers spent a great deal of time observing birds in flight. They noticed that birds soared into the wind and that the air flowing over the curved surface of their wings created lift. Birds change the shape of their wings to turn and maneuver. The Wrights believed that they could use this technique to obtain roll control by warping, or changing the shape, of a portion of the wing. "

Hi,

Thanks for your thoughts. In my view, Dr. de Kleer is correct in his notion. I know about Wright brothers. I think, de Kleer is talking something different. Will (re)search more.

On the other note: I think, people without understanding the correct meaning and arguing the "Human Intelligence" -they are interpreting and arguing the "Artificial Intelligence." I have never seen anywhere, the correct meaning and interpretation of "Human Intelligence."

thoughts??
Best regards,
Arun
